I love and recommend enzymes for facial exfoliation.  Enzymes are gentle and have anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritations, so they’re great for sensitive skin. Enzymes polish the skin by dissolving dead skin cells.  Here are some examples of natural enzymes:

• Bromelain: It’s extracted from the fruit and stem of the pineapple plant. Its known as Ananas Cosmosus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract. 
• Papain: Is a proteolytic enzyme derived and extracted from the raw fruit of the papaya plant.   . Its known as Carica Papaya Fruit Extract. 
• Pumpkin Enzyme: It comes from pumpkin and disguises itself as Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Enzyme.

Exfoliating dry skin regularly not only removes dead cells, but can also improve blood circulation and keep pores clean and clear.  This results in smooth, glowing skin.  Oily skin commonly has more dead cells and an extra thick layer built up on the epidermis.  Therefore, exfoliation is one of the best ways for reducing clogged pores and creating smoother skin.

I use Enzymes in the my treatment room practically all day long. I guess you can say I love them. Enzymes are great for stand alone treatments, or for enhancing a variety of other services. I enhance my dermaplaning treatments with an enzyme, and let me tell you, that glow! That's not all, I top it off with device that lifts those dead skin cells. Your skin texture will be so soft and you will have glowing skin you have always wanted.

I love products with skin loving ingredients!  Products that are nutrient rich with antioxidants.  Also that have a delivery system for maximum absorption benefits. I don't believe in using harsh chemicals, parabens and sulfates.  They actually contribute to sensitivity and irritation by disrupting the balance of the skin.  Our skin has an optimal pH balance that can be thrown off by a number of factors.  Some things you can control such as the products you use and the foods you eat.  Other things you can’t control like hard water (aka the unfiltered water coming out of your faucet at home), pollution, and the environment.  If your skin’s pH balance becomes compromised, you’ll see it in the form of blemishes, dryness, or irritation.

• Stay away from bar soap for the face
• Use lukewarm water to rinse your face
• Use an antioxidant toner that will restore and balance
• Choose products that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants
• Avoid sulfates, Parabens, and added Fragrance whenever possible.
• Only use products for your skin type

If your skin is dry and you have premature aging, this could mean your skin is too alkaline.  If you have oily skin and regular breakouts, this could mean that your skin is too acidic.  If you have clear healthy skin, you have likely balanced your skin and mastered the PH.  When the skin is balancing the repair process will take place.  Its recommended to give your skin time to adjust to your knew regimen.  Before you know it you will have your glow back!

• DMAE is Dimethylaminoethanol

This ingredient is a nutrient that occurs naturally in our brain, in small amounts, and facilitates the synthesis of acetylcholine.  Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that helps in establishing communication between nerves and muscles, and also in carrying messages between brain cells.  Acetylcholine works by sending messages to the muscles and stimulates their contraction.  Because of this property, DMAE has been used by some patients to address sagging skin.  The active ingredient helps stimulate the production of acetylcholine, and that enhances the skin tone by firming and tightening its appearance from beneath the skin.  Another way that DMAE helps the skin is by reducing the accumulation of lipofuscin deposits inside cells.  Lipofuscin is a skin pigment that can create discolorations.  It has a brownish color and is a result of molecular waste when fatty acids are not metabolized properly by the body.  This pigment oftentimes shows up in the form of liver spots or age spots, especially in people who are at a more mature stage in their life.  DMAE creams also tend to have anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce free radicals in the body.

• DMAE has the potential ability to partially increase the firmness of your skin. 
• It can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, especially on the forehead, around the mouth, and around the nose.
• It can potentially reduce the sagginess of the skin in the neck region.
• DMAE  could improve the muscle tone of the face and make it look more youthful.

• MSM is Methylsulfonylmethane

It is a nutrient that you have consumed in many of the most well-known super foods.  That's because it is an organic sulfur compound that is found in many of the healthiest and most nutritionally synergistic foods that we eat such as broccoli, cabbage and brussel sprouts, which give off a distinct odor when cooked.

MSM has a softening and deeply penetrating effect on the skin when applied topically.  It has the unique ability to penetrate several skin layers and therefore provides a better, more deeply hydrating and smoothing effect for longer periods of time.  For this reason, it is one of the best ingredients to look for if you have chronically dry or mature skin that has lost a lot of its elasticity.

MSM helps make the skin cells more permeable, and therefore more absorbent and receptive to plumping and hydration.  This means that if it is an ingredient in your facial moisturizer, it can help the other ingredients gain entry to the skin cells in order to hydrate them more effectively.  It can also accomplish this when taken internally as a supplement, especially when plenty of water is taken in throughout the day to enhance consistent skin hydration.
